We have been informed of attempts to commit fraud and identity theft. Fraudsters are trying to get individuals to invest in fictitious products using the name of Peugeot Invest or its staff members.
The attempts of which we have been informed involve phishing via email and telephone. The perpetrators unlawfully try to obtain personal data or get people to make a bank transfer or electronic payment.
Please take the utmost care. We would remind you that Peugeot Invest does not offer any banking products involving savings or investments, and does not carry out any unsolicited marketing of banking or financial products with the general public.
Our advice is as follows:
always check the sender’s email address. The email addresses of Peugeot Invest staff members always end with “@peugeot-invest.com”. Any other address that ends with a different extension, such as “@peugeot-gestion.com” or “@peugeot-invest.eu” is fake and exposes you to potential fraud.
do not click on any link in any email that asks you to go online in order to provide personal information, reactivate a bank account or check suspicious transactions.
be wary of offers that seem too good to be true, promises of high, risk-free returns and invitations that require you to take decisions or other action rapidly.
If you think you may have received a fraudulent approach using the identity of Peugeot Invest of one of its staff members, please contact us immediately by telephone on +33 (0)1 84 13 87 20 or by email at info@peugeot-invest.com.
You can also consult the blacklist of fraudulent companies compiled by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF). This list is updated, but is not exhaustive: new unauthorised companies and websites emerge regularly. If you have fallen victim to fraud, you must report the incident to the police as soon as possible. It is also important to report the phishing email or website to:
the Phishing Initiative, which blocks access to websites reported to it,
the Pharos website, which alerts the police about illegal websites.
